Application process

Once you have decided which role you would like to apply for, please fill in the online application and send it. If you are applying for a specific vacancy that has been advertised, please ensure that you include the reference code in your application. If you aren’t applying for an advertised vacancy, don’t worry. There are usually a number of vacancies that are waiting to be advertised.

After you apply, you may need to wait for up to four weeks before the next stage. This can be due to limited vacancies or other activities occurring within the area or office of your choice.

If you’ve applied for a CPP3 or CPP4 role, you will be invited to undertake a psychometric assessment.

Next, comes an interview with Department of Health & Human Services.

If you’re successful, then we check your references and have you safety screened.

We’ll contact you via email if there are any delays. If you have any questions, you can contact us via childprotectionjobs@dhhs.vic.gov.au
